Carecircle is still new and growing, and while new rooms are being added all the time, there is a chance that there isn’t yet one for your specific condition. If that is the case, please feel free to ask your questions in the ‘Welcome to Carecircle’ room and we will reply to you. Our goal is to open rooms for each condition within the coming months, to please stay tuned and check back regularly.
MyCare allows you to track all of your symptoms in one place, providing you with a powerful tool to understand and communicate your symptoms to your health care professional. As well as tracking symptoms, you can also record lifestyle data such as sleep and exercise to build a full picture of your health and wellness and record details about health care appointments, your medical history and treatments or therapeutics. You can use MyCare to record all of this information for yourself or someone that you care for.
We build Carecircle to be used on any device that can access to the internet. For us, ensuring everyone can access and benefit from Carecircle is at the heart of everything we do. The platform is the same whether you access it from the app or the web, you choose what works best for you.
Carecircle is expanding the range of notifications and reminders it can give you to make MyCare even more helpful with the management of appointments, remembering when to take medications and any of the other personal goals that you set.
Carecircle's mission is to improve health outcomes and research is a critical piece of that puzzle. We have a strict rule - patient data belongs to the patient. We will facilitate the sharing of either identifiable, anonymised or pseudonymised patient data to relevant research programs with express patient consent.
Carecircle is an independent platform and always will be. This allows us to keep the promises that we make today, forever. Carecircle makes money by providing services on our platform to organisations who need a safe and secure place to conduct research or communicate about health and wellness eg. an employer delivering health programmes to their employees. These organisations have no access to your data. Our goal is to make Carecircle free forever to as many people as possible and we have made a commitment to distribute a percentage of profits to health charities around the world.
In rooms designed for contact with a clinician we can provide secure and private communication channels in a couple of ways. the first is by direct message which is between 2 people. The second is by turning off the community chat function for all except room owners/admins. These creates a virtual clinic setting where either individual clinicians or multidisciplinary teams are the only ones that can see communications from patients and manage a patient cohort simply in one place.
The platform can integrate with any digital solution that has an API, this gives tremendous benefit in being able to plug in digital solutions that provide additional features for patients or aid in the analysis of patient data.
Carecircle members can track their medication and record when they have taken it. Our next version release of this feature will enable members to enter their medication protocols, create a bespoke calendar with special instructions (e.g. take one hour after food) and receive notifications to prompt them to not only take their medication but eat at the correct time to promote patient adherence to their medication regimen.
Managing the risk of sharing false information online is a particular concern with health related information and can be complicated by the fact that there can be differences of opinion in what is "false". Our approach is to prompt users, through our moderation process, to cite their source if they are sharing information that is outside what can be considered their lived experience. Our next feature release in this area will enhance community feedback and responses. This subject is linked to our moderation approach. Moderation combines three elements: preventative, detective and responsive. These are delivered through both technological and human interaction with content on the platform. Carecircle members can also flag or question any posts or content for additional moderation checks.
The minimum age for use of the platform is 18 globally however this is reviewed according to need in individual countries.
Feedback and help is accessed through contact points on the platform or by emailing contact@Carecircle.org. Feedback is encouraged and taken on board as we strive to constantly improve the platform for the diverse needs of our members.
Our platform is doubly encrypted and highly secure, using the same standards as the North American Military. Once you have signed onto the platform you are protected from any of the tracking that is routinely carried out by your web browser. We do not sell or share your identifiable data without your express consent, nor do we use your data to show you targeted ads.
If you would like a room for a specific purpose, group or condition simply contact Carecircle support and we would be happy to open one for you. If you wish to open a personal room to connect with friends and family in a safe and secure environment simply create your own room in the rooms section of the platform.
